"My teen got around it almost immediately"
I was really hoping this would help, but my teen figured out how to bypass it in about ten minutes. When I tried to deal with it, it felt like they made it my problem instead of having a real fix or clear support. Frustrating experience overall.

"It blocked a few, but not the ones I noticed most"
I was mostly watching to see if it would catch the sites I already knew were an issue, a lot still slipped through. It did block some stuff, so it’s not completely useless, but the ones that got past it stood out way more to me

"This app gave me a bad first..."
This app gave me a bad first impression right away. It keeps showing my kid miles away when I know they’re sitting at school, which is really frustrating. I tried refreshing it a bunch of times, but it barely changes anything. For something that’s supposed to give peace of mind, it just adds more stress.

"Searches were way too visible"
My search history was just kinda sitting there easy to see, which defeats the whole point. I expected it to be hidden better or at least not so obvious

"So, Net Nanny has been helpful for..."
So, Net Nanny has been helpful for blocking apps, and it works most of the time. That said, a few of the settings were a little confusing for me, and sometimes the changes didn’t show up on my kid’s phone right away. Overall, it’s useful, but it wasn’t quite as smooth as I was expecting

"I really wanted the geofencing alerts to work..."
I really wanted the geofencing alerts to work better, but they kept showing up late or sometimes not at all. It gave me that “no real person there” feeling, like I couldn’t fully trust it to actually notify me when it was supposed to.

"Slowed the phone down way too much"
I really wanted Net Nanny to work for us, but it made my kid’s phone noticeably slower. Apps took forever to open, the battery was draining faster, and even basic stuff like browsing or sending messages started lagging. I get that a monitoring app has to run in the background, but common sense says it shouldn’t make the phone frustrating to use. Once I removed it, the phone went back to normal. Just wasn’t worth the hassle for us.

"Filtering feels really inconsistent"
I really wanted Net Nanny to work out because I was tired of constantly hovering over what my kids were doing online, especially during homework time at the kitchen table. But the filtering has been hit or miss for us. It’ll block some completely normal school pages, like a science worksheet site my daughter needed, and then somehow let a random sketchy-looking site through five minutes later. I keep having to jump in, check links, adjust settings, and fix stuff myself, which defeats the whole purpose. It’s not awful, and I can see the idea behind it, but it just hasn’t been accurate enough for me to fully trust it...

"Frustrating and unreliable"
I was already a little stressed when I started using Net Nanny, and it just made me more frustrated. The app kept crashing, some settings wouldn’t save, and every now and then it would just stop blocking sites for no clear reason. I ended up spending more time double-checking whether it was working than actually relying on it

"Screen time setup has been exhausting"
I got Net Nanny mainly to set screen time limits, and it’s been such a headache. The schedule feels way more confusing than it should be, and half the time my kid can still get on when it’s supposed to be blocked. Then other times it blocks things when it shouldn’t. I keep going back in and changing the settings, but it feels like they don’t really stick. I’m already mentally drained from trying to manage screen time, and this just adds to it. For what it costs, I expected this basic feature to work a lot better

"Social media monitoring didn’t really help"
I bought Net Nanny mainly for the social media monitoring, it wasn’t doing me no real favors. Some things just never showed up, and the alerts were either late or didn’t come through at all, which kind of defeats the whole point.

Getting it set up wasn’t exactly easy either, and I didn’t feel like I was getting anything close to what I paid for. For the price, I expected way better, so I ended up canceling and trying to find something that actually worked for me

"Child app felt clunky and not worth the stress"
I really wanted this to work, but the child app ended up being more frustrating than helpful for us. I’m careful about what I install and rely on for my kid, so when something starts acting unpredictable, I don’t just ignore it.

My kid kept getting blocked from apps that were already allowed, and the screen time updates didn’t show up when they should have. The app also felt slow and kind of confusing to check, and a few times it looked like the settings were saved, but then they didn’t actually stick.

After a while, I felt like I was spending more time troubleshooting than actually managing anything. For something parents and kids have to use every day, it needs to be simple and dependable. For us, it just wasn’t worth the headache...

"Refund process was more frustrating than expected"
I asked for a refund and thought the process would be a lot clearer. Instead, it felt like I was getting passed around and waiting too long for straightforward answers. I kept expecting clearer instructions on what to do next, but the whole thing ended up being way more of a headache than it needed to be. Not happy with how it was handled, and I don’t plan on using Net Nanny again

"It worked well on our..."
It worked well on our phones, so I figured setup would be just as easy on my kid’s tablet. Judging by how fussy it was being, though, the tablet clearly didn’t want to cooperate. It’s okay overall, but I wouldn’t say it’s seamless on every device.

"Setting this up was way more frustrating than..."
Setting this up was way more frustrating than I expected. The install instructions were confusing, and the setup kept failing on me no matter what I tried. I definitely regret not reading the reviews first because it would’ve saved me a headache.

"YouTube monitoring turned into extra stress"
I got Net Nanny mostly so I could keep tabs on YouTube without having to constantly hover, but it barely helped. A bunch of videos either showed up way late in the reports or didn’t show up at all, and the reports themselves were hard to make sense of. The blocking also felt totally hit or miss, which just added more stress than I expected. For what it costs, I really thought it would make things easier, but I ended up checking everything myself anyway.

"Signup was fine, but login was a pain"
Creating my account went smoothly, no issues there. But trying to log in afterward was frustrating, it kept kicking me out, over and over. Signup was fine, login not so much.

"Still not enough detail in the reports"
I’m running into the same issue again with the activity reports. They’re just too vague to be very useful, and I keep having to guess or dig elsewhere for the details I actually need

"I reached out to support and yeah, it..."
I reached out to support and yeah, it took a while to hear back. They did reply eventually, so it wasn’t ignored, just slower than I was hoping.

"Billing was confusing and caught me off guard"
I ended up getting charged again, i really didn’t see it coming at all. Maybe the information was there somewhere, but it definitely didn’t feel easy to find or clearly explained. The billing details seemed kind of tucked away, so by the time the charge showed up, it felt like a surprise instead of something I had been properly warned about. I just wish it had been more upfront and obvious...
